Peter Rosenfeld

So, this is the groom huh? I can hear you saying it: Swarve? Sophisticated? Handsome? Plain good looking? Rich? Anatomically gifted? Nawwwwwwwwwww!! None of those things! Just darn lucky I’d say!

But really, here’s a bit of the more boring stuff all about ickle ol’ me. I was born in Sale, Cheshire and followed a non-conventional career from boarding school, through the merchant navy, into Saudi Arabia and then into my own business in 1994 (with my dearest and most valuable mate, my Dad)!

After selling the engineering business in 1999 I came to the conclusion that I wasn’t going to make that £million by 40 after all. I decided, therefore, to fulfil the second half of my objective instead – to have fun! That’s now become my priority rather than money. Ok..ok..I have to make ends meet like everyone else but if I can do that with a smile and a giggle, then I have achieved my aim. If I can do it making others smile and giggle, then I have achieved my ambition!

I found the media (or the media found me, I can’t remember) in 2002 after living in a perspex cube on public display for 2 weeks in a “Big Brother” style competition…oh…yes…I won it by the way!

In 2004 I started a sightseeing tour business basically because I was single by then (after an 18-year marriage but that’s another story) and this seemed a good way to pull woman! In saying that, it wasn’t quite that easy so I started a speed dating business too!

In 2007 journalism became my passion and, more specifically, travel writing. I still do this today, along with radio presenting. a bit of TV, a ticketing solutions software, an online travel guide, lots of commitee seats, a couple of board directorships, the chair of a record label, the chair of a business cluster group and, oh yes, my little sightseeing tour company that just goes from strength to strength and contrarary to not pulling enough woman, was, in fact, responsible for my beautiful wife-in-waiting!

“A lively, well-spoken chap who is a pleasure to listen to – either personally, in his feature articles, on the TV, radio or publicly. Constructively controversial, frighteningly knowledgeable and diligently outspoken, not afraid to say it as it is rather than as it is perceived to be. His success is based on honesty and integrity but also on that long-lost ingredient; humour! Oh yes! Peter has a dry, English humour that never seems to end capturing the attention, envy and respect of his peers.” The Standard Newspaper – 2008

Oh how I love that quote?! It comes as no surprise  that I am in soul body, mind, ambition, motivation and whole-heartedly, the Mad Hatter!

…and here’s a little more of my story:
